Paraventricular thalamus explained

Paraventricular thalamus should not be confused with paraventricular nucleus of hypothalamus.

The paraventricular thalamus (PVT or PV) is a nucleusin the midline nuclear group of the thalamus.^{[1] [2]}

The PVT is a critical node of the hypothalamic-thalamic-striatal circuit.^[3]
