However, 22 days later Paulo Portas was appointed Vice Prime Minister (Decree of the President of the Republic no. 92-B/2013, of 24th July), automatically outranking her according to the Constitution (and the Cabinet rules that were later amended by Decree-Law no. 119/2013, of 21st August).
