Homocystine Explained

Homocystine should not be confused with homocysteine.

Homocystine is the organosulfur compound with the formula . It is disulfide derived from oxidation of homocysteine.[1] Its relationship with homocysteine is analogous to the relationship between cystine and cysteine.
