Flavobacteriaceae Explained
The family Flavobacteriaceae is composed of environmental bacteria.[1] Most species are aerobic, while some are microaerobic to anaerobic; for example Capnocytophaga and Coenonia.[2]
Genera
The family Flavobacteriaceae comprises the following genera:[3]
Phylogeny
The currently accepted taxonomy is based on the List of Prokaryotic names with Standing in Nomenclature[3] and the phylogeny is based on whole-genome sequences.[5]
