The arrondissement of Dunkirk (French: Dunkerque, Dutch; Flemish: Duinkerke) is an arrondissement of France in the Nord department in the Hauts-de-France region. It has 111 communes. Its population is 372,180 (2020), and its area is 1442.7km2.[1]
It roughly corresponds to the French Westhoek (part of French Flanders), where traditionally French Flemish is spoken.

The arrondissement of Bergues was created in 1800. The subprefecture was moved to Dunkirk in 1803.[3]
