The village is located on the Vablya River (a tributary of the Prutishche in the basin of the Seym), 71km (44miles) from the Russia–Ukraine border, 51km (32miles) north-west of Kursk, 12km (07miles) east of the district center – the urban-type settlement Konyshyovka, 9km (06miles) from the selsoviet center – Maloye Gorodkovo.[3]
