Jamaruean Macaiah Jones (born), better known by his stage name Yhapojj (stylized as YhapoJJ), is an American rapper.[1]
Jones was born [2] in Huntsville, Alabama. He began rapping during the COVID-19 lockdowns. In November 2023, he released the EP Evolution of Xur.[3] In December 2023, with Xaviersobased and Nettspend, Jones caused a mini-riot at the Mercury Lounge in Manhattan.[4]
In May 2024, he released P.S. Fuck You. The album only contained one feature, Lil Tony,[5] on the song "Sswerve Geeked".[6]
Jones cites Michael Jackson's Thriller as an influence. He is also a fan of The Twilight Saga. His songs have a fictional wolf named Xur. He also uses similar vocal tricks to ILoveMakonnen. In collaboration with FLOOD, he created a playlist of his influences. The playlist includes songs by Gladys Knight & the Pips, The Isley Brothers, Lil' O, Z-Ro, UGK, Miley Cyrus, Lil B, OG Maco and Anquette.[7]
