Wuhu Rail Transit is a two-line monorail rapid transit system in Wuhu, Anhui, China. Both lines use Bombardier Innovia Monorail 300 trains manufactured under a joint venture with CRRC.[2] Line 1 opened on 3 November 2021, with Line 2 opening on 28 December 2021.
In 2013, Wuhu began planning to launch rail transit construction. On June 9, 2015, the official website of the Wuhu Municipal Government released the "Wuhu Urban Rail Transit Construction Plan (2016-2020)" to solicit public opinions on the environmental impact assessment; in December, the Wuhu Rail Transit Plan was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission. On February 2, 2016, the State Council of the People's Republic of China approved the "Wuhu City Rail Transit Construction Plan (2016-2020)"; the National Development and Reform Commission approved the "Wuhu City Rail Transit Phase I Construction Plan (2016-2020), Anhui Province" 》; In March, the Anhui Provincial Environmental Protection Department accepted the "Environmental Impact Report of the Phase I Project of Wuhu Rail Transit Line 2" and the "Environmental Impact Report of the Wuhu Urban Rail Transit Line 1 Project" was published; from July to September, Anhui The Provincial Development and Reform Commission approved the feasibility study report for the first phase of Rail Transit Line 2 and the feasibility study report for Line 1 respectively; on December 24, a survey activity was held for the first phase of Wuhu Rail Transit Project Line 1 and Line 2. Dream The construction of Xilu Station started; on December 26, the Wuhu Municipal Government held a construction survey activity for the first phase of Wuhu Rail Transit Line 1 and Line 2. On April 20, 2017, Wuhu Rail Transit Line 2 officially started drilling; on June 26, the first pile of Wuhu Rail Transit Line 1 started drilling.

On 25 September 2021, Wuhu Rail Transit Line 1 launched a monthly long trial with 10,000 passengers per week expected to test the line for free.[4]
Line 1 opened on 3 November 2021.

Line 2 opened on 28 December 2021.[6]
The second phase of Line 2 is under planning and will be completed by 2025. It will extend Line 2 to Wuhubei railway station.[7]
The system is planned to comprise five lines.
