2004 World Music Awards Explained
The 16th Annual World Music Awards was held on September 15, 2004 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, outside of Monaco for the first time.[1] Awards are given based on worldwide sales figures for that year.

Chopard Diamond Award
The Diamond Award honors those incredibly successful recording-artists who have sold over 100 million albums during their career. This is the third year that this award was presented; the first was in 2001.[2]
