Wolfram Waibel Jr. Explained
Wolfram Waibel Jr. (born 22 February 1970) is an Austrian sport shooter.[1]
He was born in Hohenems, Austria. His father was Wolfram Waibel Sr., who competed at five Olympic Games as a rifle shooter. Wolfram Jr. competed for Austria and won both a silver medal and a bronze medal in the 1996 Summer Olympics. He shared the world record in the 50 meter rifle prone competition.[2] [3]
After retirement, he became National Coach.[4]
Current world record in 50 m rifle prone
Weibel was a joint World Record holder in the 50m Prone Rifle event with a perfect score of 600. In 2013 the format changed from integer scoring to decimal, resetting the records.[5]
