The 78th Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly.[1] Located in south-central Wisconsin, the district is entirely contained within central Dane County. It includes most of the south and roughly half of the east side of the city of Madison, along with the city of Monona and most of the village of McFarland. The district contains the Capital Springs State Recreation Area and the Alliant Energy Center.[2] The district is represented by Democrat Lisa Subeck, since January 2015.[3]

The 78th Assembly District is located within Wisconsin's 26th Senate district, along with the 76th and 77th Assembly districts.[4]
