Wings Off the Sea is a 1954 Australian novel by J. E. Macdonnell. It told the story of an Australian air craft carrier during the Korean War.[1] [2] (Another Macdonnell novel Gimme the Boats had also been adapted for radio.)

Radio serial

The ABC adapted the novel into a 1954 radio serial. There was 26 episodes of 15 minutes.

MacDonell did the adaptation himself.

Rod Taylor starred.
