Covington Township is a civil township of Baraga County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 375 at the 2020 census.[3]

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 508.5km2, of which 497.9km2 is land and 10.5km2, or 2.07%, is water.[7]

King Lake and Worm Lake are located in Covington Township.[8]

Climate

According to the Köppen Climate Classification system, Covington has a warm-summer humid continental climate, abbreviated "Dfb" on climate maps. The hottest temperature recorded in Covington was 95F on June 21, 2022, while the coldest temperature recorded was -27F on February 1, 2019.
