Waterland (in Dutch; Flemish pronounced as /ˈʋaːtərlɑnt/) is a municipality in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. It is situated north of Amsterdam, on the western shore of the Markermeer. It includes the tourist towns of Broek in Waterland and Marken.
