Waplewo Wielkie is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Stary Targ, within Sztum County, Pomeranian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 5km (03miles) east of Stary Targ, 140NaN0 east of Sztum, and 630NaN0 south-east of the regional capital Gdańsk.
Before 1772 the area was part of Kingdom of Poland, and in 1772–1945 it belonged to Prussia and Germany. For the history of the region, see History of Pomerania.
The village has a manor house, formerly owned by the Sierakowski family, with a garden laid out in English style.
