Walter Mongare Nyambane Explained

Walter Mong'are Snr.[1] (born March 26, 1975) is the Current Director, Public Communications, Advocacy and Outreach at the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, Government of Kenya. Walter served as the Director and Youth Advisor to the 4th President of the Republic of Kenya. He previously served as a Director of Communications, Nairobi City County, Communications and Diaspora Affairs Advisor to the First Governor of Kisii County, Group Head of Radio Services at the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation among other senior management positions in the corporate space. Walter, a Communications and Advocacy Expert is a former Comedian, Music Lover and an accomplished Performing Artist with a few hits to his name under the Nyambane's Sweet Banana album released in the early 2000s. He is a Husband and Father.

Politics

Mr. Walter Mongare is the Party Leader for Umoja Summit Party, a registered political Party in Kenya whose Secretary General is a former Managing Director of Kenya Airports Authority Madam Naomi Cidi. In 2022, he availed himself as a Presidential candidate in the Kenyan elections under the Umoja Summit Party.[2] His candidature was initially approved by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission but revoked days later because of lack of a physical Degree Certificate in his submission.[3]

Education

He attended Itibo Primary School in Kisii County before moving to Mumias Boys Primary School and proceeded to Lenana School (1991 - 1994) for his O levels. Walter graduated with Honors from Daystar University, Bachelor of Education, in Business and Computer Science. He Formerly attended Kenyatta University pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts. It is in Kenyatta University, where he started his entertainment career together with John Kiarie, MP for Dagoretti Constituency and Tony Njuguga, a distinguished Creative Director in the advertising industry.
