Waldemar Skrzypczak (born 19 January 1956, in Szczecin) is a retired Polish general.
He was the 4th commander of the Multinational Division Central-South (in 2005).
From 2006 to 2009 he was the commander of the Polish Land Forces. He resigned in August of that year following a dispute with the Ministry of National Defence over a skirmish in the War in Afghanistan in which a Polish officer was killed.[1]
From 8 September 2011 he has been an adviser at the Polish Ministry of National Defence. On 25 June 2012, he became deputy minister of defense, responsible for armament and modernization.
Skrzypczak appeared in the music video for Sabaton's song "Uprising" (about the 1944 Warsaw Uprising) as an unnamed leader of the Polish resistance.[2]
