Walckenaeria Explained

Walckenaeria is a genus of dwarf spiders that was first described by John Blackwall in 1833.[1] It is a senior synonym of Paragonatium,[2] as well as Wideria, Cornicularia, Prosopotheca, Tigellinus, and Trachynella.[3]

Some males in this group have eyes set up on mounds or turrets. In extreme cases, several eyes are on a stalk taller than the carapace itself.
