The station was first licensed in 2002, and held the call sign WBFY.[2] [1] It was owned by the American Family Association and was an affiliate of American Family Radio.[2] [3] [4] In 2016, the station was traded to Educational Media Foundation,[5] and it became an affiliate of K-Love. On July 15, 2016, its call sign was changed to WLXZ.[1]
