Voznesensky District (Russian: Вознесе́нский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the forty in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Russia.[1] Municipally, it is incorporated as Voznesensky Municipal District.[2] It is located in the southwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 1302.9km2. Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Voznesenskoye. Population: 17,352 (2010 Census); The population of Voznesenskoye accounts for 39.1% of the district's total population.
