Volutomitra Explained

Volutomitra is a genus of sea snails, marine gastropod molluscs in the family Volutomitridae, the mitres, with global distribution.[1]

Description

The smooth shell is ovate or fusiform, covered with an epidermis. The whorls are simple. The columella shows oblique plaits. The outer lip is thin, simple and arcuated.[2]
