Viarmes (in French pronounced as /vjaʁm/) is a commune in the Val-d'Oise department in Île-de-France in northern France. Viarmes station has rail connections to Luzarches, Sarcelles and Paris.
During the Middle Ages, Viarmes was a lordship (French: seigneur de Viarmes) held by Pierre the Fat and Pierre the Younger, both chamberlains of King PhilipIV of France.
Viarmes is currently twinned with Tubbercurry in County Sligo, Ireland.[3] Viarmes is also twinned with Morcote, an Italian-speaking town in Switzerland.[4]
