Vernon Township is one of twelve townships in Jackson County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2020 census, its population was 3,402 and it contained 1,442 housing units.[1]
According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of, of which (or 99.91%) is land and (or 0.09%) is water.[2] The stream of Lewis Branch runs through this township.
The township contains five cemeteries: Bedel, Crothersville, Gorrell, Grassy, New Hope and Uniontown
