Vendin-le-Vieil (in French pronounced as /vɑ̃dɛ̃ lə vjɛj/; Vindin-l'Vieil) is a commune in the Pas-de-Calais department in the Hauts-de-France region of France.^[2]

Geography

An ex-coalmining area, once boasting 2 pits, now a farming and light industrial town, Vendin-le-Vieil lies 4miles northeast of Lens, at the junction of the D38e and the D164e roads.

• The church of St.Leger, rebuilt along with the rest of the town, after World War I.
