Vachak Ab (Persian: وچكاب) is a village in, and the capital of, Vach Kabud Rural District of Sarab Bagh District, Abdanan County, Ilam province, Iran.[2]

Demographics

Language and ethnicity

The village is populated by both Kurds and Lurs.[3] Smoking is forbidden in the village.[4]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 552 in 103 households, when it was in Cham Kabud Rural District.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 614 people in 133 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 621 people in 174 households, by which time some villages had been transferred to Jaber-e Ansar Rural District in the Central District and some to the newly established Vach Kabud Rural District.[2] It was the most populous village in its rural district.[7]
