Unknown Seoul is an upcoming South Korean television series starring Park Bo-young, Park Jin-young, and Ryu Kyung-soo. The series depicts the growth of twin sisters who are different in every way except for their faces, as they find true love and life through a lie that swaps their lives. It is scheduled to premiere on tvN in the first half of 2025.
Synopsis
Unknown Seoul is a romantic growth drama about twin sisters who are different in everything except their faces and find true love and life through a lie that swaps their lives.
Cast
- Yoo Mi-ji: The younger of the twins, who has ended her brief heyday as a promising track and field athlete and is currently living a free-spirited life.
- Yoo Mi-rae: The older of the twins, who has been on the elite's path since her school days and is currently a perfectionist working at a public corporation.
A lawyer at a large law firm with a tall appearance and carefree attitude.
A man who started out as a hedge fund CIO but later became a farm owner.
Production
Development
Director Park Shin-woo, who directed Don't Dare to Dream (2016), It's Okay to Not Be Okay (2020), and Lovestruck in the City (2020–2021), is in charge of directing, and writer Lee Kang of Youth of May (2021) is in charge of writing. It is planned by Studio Dragon and co-produced by Monster Union and .[1]
Casting
On July 25, 2024, it was reported by Newsen that Park Bo-young received an offer for the series and is positively reviewing.[2] On the same day, Ten Asia reported that Park had been cast and will appear.[3] On September 26, BH Entertainment told Newsen that Park Jin-young received an offer to appear and is positively reviewing.[4] According to News 1 on October 8, Ryu Kyung-soo had been cast as the lead.[5] On December 3, Joy News 24 reported that Park Bo-young and Jin-young had been confirmed to appear.[6]
Filming
Principal photography began at the end of 2024.
Release
Unknown Seoul is scheduled to premiere on tvN in the first half of 2025.
