Sheikh Sayyid ˈAbdur-Rahmān al-Bukhāri(1920 – 1 February 2014),[1] [2] commonly known as Ullal Thangal[3] and honoured with the title Tājul Ulamā, was an Indian Islamic scholar. He was the President of Samastha, Jamia Sa-adiya Arabic College,[4] Principal of the Sayyid Madani Arabic College, Ullal,[5] and the Qazi of Ullal and several districts of Karnataka state.

He was a prominent member of the Samastha until the split of the Sunnis in 1989 and AP Sunnis' Samastha thereafter.[6]

His grave is in Ettikulam, Kannur district of Kerala.[7] [8] [9]
