UFC Fight Night: Blaydes vs. Aspinall explained
UFC Fight Night: Blaydes vs. Aspinall (also known as UFC Fight Night 208 and UFC on ESPN+ 66) was a mixed martial arts event produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship that took place on July 23, 2022, at The O2 Arena in London, England.[2]
Background
A heavyweight bout between Curtis Blaydes and Tom Aspinall headlined the event.[3]
Former UFC Welterweight Championship challenger Darren Till and Jack Hermansson were originally expected to headline in December 2020, but the middleweight bout was scrapped after Till was injured.[4] They were then expected to meet at this event.[5] In turn, Till pulled out once again due to injury on July 6 and was replaced by Chris Curtis.[6]
