UFC 311: Makhachev vs. Tsarukyan 2 is an upcoming mixed martial arts event produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship that will take place on January 18, 2025, at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, United States.[1]

Background

The event will mark the promotion's third visit to Inglewood and first since UFC 232 in December 2018.[1]

A UFC Lightweight Championship bout between current champion Islam Makhachev and Arman Tsarukyan is scheduled to headline the event.[2] They previously met at in April 2019, where Makhachev defeated Tsarukyan by unanimous decision.[3]

A UFC Bantamweight Championship bout between current champion Merab Dvalishvili and undefeated contender Umar Nurmagomedov is expected to serve as the co-main event.[4]

A bantamweight bout between bantamweight winner Ricky Turcios and Bernardo Sopaj was expected to take place at in November 2024, but it was scrapped after the weigh-ins due to undisclosed medical issues related to Turcios.[5] The pairing has been rescheduled to take place at this event.[6]

Grant Dawson and Carlos Diego Ferreira are scheduled to compete in a lightweight bout at the event.[7] They were once expected to meet at in October 2021, but Ferreira pulled out due to injury.[8]
