List of storms named Haikui explained

The name Haikui ([xaɪ˨˩˦ kʰweɪ˧˥]) has been used for three tropical cyclones in the northwestern Pacific Ocean. The name was contributed by China and literally means "sea anemone" (Chinese: c={{linktext|海葵). It replaced "Longwang," which was retired after the 2005 typhoon season.

The name Haikui was retired after the 2023 season. Its replacement name will be announced in 2025.[1]
