Tuzhinsky District (Russian: Тужи́нский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[2] district (raion), one of the thirty-nine in Kirov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 1468km2.[3] Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Tuzha. Population: 10,396 (2002 Census); The population of Tuzha accounts for 59.4% of the district's total population.
