Tune.FM is an American web3 decentralized music streaming platform and music NFT marketplace.[1] [2]

History

Tune.FM was founded by Andrew Antar and Brian Antar. It was designed with distributed ledger technology for revenue allocation for artists and fan interactions. The platform adopted Hedera Hashgraph, governed by Google, Boeing, IBM, Deutsche Telekom, LG, Tata Communications, where it allows hundreds of thousands of transactions per second. In 2024, Tune.FM have music catalogs of Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, Beyoncé, and Carlos Santana.[3] [4] [5]

Unlike online radio stations and digital distribution services where artists receive 12% of the revenue generated from song plays. Tune FM launched on iOS devices, Android devices, and web browsers.

Finances and royalties

Artists on the platform earn streaming revenue through micropayments, delivered in the form of JAM tokens. Artists receive tokens when their tracks are played, in proportion to the number of seconds played.[10] [11]
