Tulian Lake is an alpine lake located near Pahalgam in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir, India.[1] It lies at an altitude of 3684m (12,087feet) above sea level,[2] 16km (10miles) southwest[3] from Pahalgam and 11km (07miles) from Baisaran.[4] The lake often has chunks of ice floating in it. It is surrounded on three sides by mountains that rise to over 4800m (15,700feet) and that are usually covered with snow.[5] It is located in a meadow dotted with pine forests.[6] The lake lies in the great Himalayan range.
