Trzebicz (German: Trebitsch) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Drezdenko, within Strzelce-Drezdenko County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland.[1] It lies approximately 6km (04miles) west of Drezdenko, 170NaN0 south-east of Strzelce Krajeńskie and 350NaN0 east of Gorzów Wielkopolski.

The village had a population of 734 in 2009.

History

During World War II, the Germans enslaved Poles, Frenchmen and Russians as forced labour in the village.[2] On August 11, 1942, the Gestapo carried out a public execution of a 24-year-old Polish man, accused of raping a German girl.[2]

Sports

The local football club is Uran Trzebicz. It competes in the lower leagues.
