Trachylepis dumasi explained
Trachylepis dumasi is a species of skink, a lizard in the family Scincidae. The species is endemic to Madagascar.
Etymology
The specific name, dumasi, is in honor of American herpetologist Philip Conrad Dumas.[1]
Habitat
The preferred natural habitats of T. dumasi are forest and rocky areas, at altitudes of 100–.
Description
A relatively small species for its genus, the maximum recorded snout-to-vent length (SVL) of T. dumasi is 5.5cm (02.2inches). Dorsally, the head, body, and tail are brown.
Reproduction
The mode of reproduction of T. dumasi is unknown.
