Topton is an unincorporated community in Cherokee County, North Carolina, United States. Topton is located on U.S. Route 19, U.S. Route 74, and U.S. Route 129, 7.5miles east-northeast of Andrews.

History

Topton's post office opened on December 12, 1887.[1] It has the ZIP code 28781.[2] [3]

Nantahala Community Library and Community Center opened next to Nantahala School in Topton on July 22, 2024.[4] The library was previously located in a modular building at the school.[5] It is part of the Fontana Regional Library system.
