Tony Luck is a Canadian politician who was elected to the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia in the 2024 general election. He represents the electoral district of member of Fraser-Nicola as a member of the Conservative Party of British Columbia.[1] Luck is a former councillor for both Mission and Merritt, British Columbia.[2]

Early life and career

Luck was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. He has received two degrees from the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV), a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1996, and a Bachelor of Arts in history in 2006.[3] [4] He later served on the board of directors of the UFV Alumni Association, acting as chair from 2008 through 2013. He worked at BC Hydro for twenty six years, and subsequently as a consultant with Investors Group.[5]

In 2005, Luck was the leader of the Emerged Democracy Party of British Columbia.[6]

Luck was a city councillor for Mission from 2012 through 2016. He ran for mayor in the 2014 municipal election, but was unsuccessful.[7] He was a city councillor for Merritt from 2018 through 2022, and ran for mayor of the city in the 2022 municipal election, coming in second place.[8]

Following his career in municipal politics, Luck worked as a real estate agent in Merritt.
