Tieut (character: ㅌ; ko|티읕|tieut) is a consonant of the Korean hangul alphabet. It is pronounced aspirated, as pronounced as /[{{IPA link|t}}{{IPA link|ʰ}}]/ at the beginning of a syllable and as pronounced as /link/ at the end of a syllable. For example: 토마토 tomato pronounced as /[tʰomatʰo]/ but 붙다 butta ("to stick to"), where it is pronounced with an unaspirated pronounced as /[t]/ sound.[1] [2] [3]
