Thynnichthys polylepis is a species of cyprinid of the genus Thynnichthys.[1] It inhabits Sumatra and Borneo.[1] It has a maximum length among unsexed males of 18cm (07inches).[1] Described in 1860 by Pieter Bleeker, it is considered harmless to humans.[1] it has not been classified on the IUCN Red List.[1]
