This Ain't No Picnic (music festival) explained
This Ain't No Picnic is an American multi-genre music festival organized by Goldenvoice which began in 1999. The first three editions of the festival were held at the Oak Canyon Ranch in Irvine, California, and the most recent edition was held at the Brookside Golf Course. The festival was named after the song "This Ain't No Picnic" by the San Pedro band The Minutemen off their aclaimed 1984 album Double Nickels on The Dime.
History
The festival first began in the year 1999.[1] The second edition occurred in 2000.[2] [3] The festival was originally intended to be annual, however, due to its proximity to Coachella, that did not happen. In 2002, the third edition of the festival was held.[4] After a 20-year hiatus, the festival returned in 2022.[5] [6]
