The Woman in the Yard is an upcoming American horror thriller film directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and written by Sam Stefanak. It stars Danielle Deadwyler, Okwui Okpokwasili, Russell Hornsby, Peyton Jackson and Estella Kahiha.

The film is scheduled to be released in the United States on March 28, 2025.

Production

In February 2024, it was announced that a horror thriller film titled The Woman in the Yard was in development at Universal Pictures and Blumhouse. Jaume Collet-Serra had been hired to direct and Sam Stefanak would write the screenplay, with Danielle Deadwyler cast in the lead role.[1] In April 2024, it was reported that Okwui Okpokwasili and Russell Hornsby had joined.[2] [3] In May, Peyton Jackson and Estella Kahiha joined the cast in undisclosed roles.[4]

Filming

Principal photography began on April 26, 2024.[5]

Release

The Woman in the Yard is scheduled to be released in the United States on March 28, 2025.[6] It was previously scheduled for release on January 10, 2025, before being briefly removed from the release schedule.[7]
