Tharmada Explained

Tharmada (Arabic: ثرمداء [{{ALA-LC|ar|Tharmadāʼ}}]) is a Saudi Arabian town, located about 170 kilometers north of the capital Riyadh.

Naming

The town is named after the plant Altharmad (Halexylon Salicornicum) which abounds in the region.
