Thapliyal Explained

Thapliyal is a Sarola Brahmin toponymic surname from Thapli, a village in the Chamoli District^[1] of the Indian state of Uttarakhand.^{[2] [3] [4] [5]} In around 980 CE, people of Thapliyal Sarola Gaur Brahmin caste settled in a village named Thapli in Chandpur.^{[6] [7]} Their Kuladevi is Jwalpa Devi.^{[8] [9]}
