The season premiered on July 3, 2023.[1] This is the first regular season to air on GTV.
The season was concluded on January 27, 2024, making it the second shortest regular season, following the fifth season. Rea Gen Villareal ended up winning, while Eunice Encarnada became the runner-up.
Prior to the previous season's semifinals, preliminary auditions for the seventh season were announced, with the first ones taking place in June 2023.

The seventh season was supposed to premiere in June 2023, but it was pushed back due to the indefinite extension of , which was supposed to run for four weeks but was extended indefinitely to eight weeks.
Following the expiration of It's Showtime's blocktime agreement with TV5 on June 30, and its transfer to GTV, this is the first regular season that will air on the latter.[3] The show still airs on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, Jeepney TV, and on the social media platforms of It's Showtime and Tawag ng Tanghalan.
From October 14 to 27, 2023, daily live production of It's Showtime was halted due to temporarily suspension of the show for 12-airing days, which was released by ruling decision of Movie and Television Review and Classification Board.[4] It's Your Lucky Day temporarily replaced the show during the show's suspension period.
The judging panel for the daily rounds has returned to five judges for the first time since the pre-pandemic shows. The mechanics for the daily rounds have returned with the regional format, which will pit competitors from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao against one another. During the first week of the season, three new contenders are introduced, introducing the possibility of a head-to-head match with two contenders of the same region (as seen on the July 7, 2023, episode). This was discontinued starting from the second week with only two contenders competing without the defending champion's region. In case of a tie, two contenders from the same region will a have a head-to-head match resulting to a three way face-off round (as seen in September 14, 15, 26 and December 13, 2023, episodes). A contender can only defend the golden microphone five times. When a contender does this, he or she advances to the semifinals. Continuing from the previous season is the gong element during the face-off round. The daily winner(s) and defending champion can still be axed from the competition when they are gonged.
For the first time, individual judges' scores are revealed, albeit only one judge's score is revealed after the comments.
Vhong Navarro, Vice Ganda, Amy Perez, Kim Chiu, Karylle, Ogie Alcasid, Anne Curtis and Jhong Hilario reprised their hosting roles. Meanwhile, Ryan Bang reprised his role as gong master with substitutes Jugs Jugueta, and Teddy Corpuz appeared in occasional past roles.
Darren Espanto, Kyle Echarri, RK Bagatsing, Jackie Gonzaga, MC Muah Calaquian, Lassy Marquez, Negi and Petite served as guest hosts in the absence of the main hosts.
Louie Ocampo, Erik Santos, Marco Sison, Jona, Darren Espanto, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Jed Madela, Nyoy Volante, Kyla, Klarisse de Guzman, Ogie Alcasid, Jolina Magdangal, Karylle and Angeline Quinto returned as judges for the seventh season. Nonoy Zuñiga, Dingdong Avanzado, Kean Cipriano, and Bituin Escalante were introduced as new judges in the first week.[5] [6] [7] [8] Julie Anne San Jose served as a guest judge on July 29,[9] August 11, September 6, 14, 15, 18 and 21, 2023.[10] After his first guest judging appearance on the TNT Duets finale, Mark Bautista returned as a guest judge on August 12, 18, 19, 28, 31, September 11, 14, 15, 22, December 11 and 14, 2023.[11] Yeng Constantino also returned as a judge for this season, following her appearances in the opening production numbers of the July 6 and August 29, 2023, episodes, and her return to ASAP on August 20, 2023.[12] Gary Valenciano reprised his role as head judge for the finale just like the previous seasons.
The mechanics for the daily rounds have returned with the regional format, which will pit competitors from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao against one another. Metro Manila contenders will now be classified under Luzon. A contender can only defend the golden microphone five times. When a contender does this, he or she advances to the semifinals. Contenders who claimed the golden microphone receive for each win while contenders who became daily winners receive and contenders who lost in the elimination and face-off rounds receive .
