Tauma Village Explained

Tauma is a motu in the north of the Tabiteuea atoll in the Gilbert Islands of the island state Kiribati in the Pacific Ocean.[1] It belongs to North Tabiteuea. In 2017, Tauma had approximately 211 inhabitants.

Tauma is located north of the atoll between Kabuna in the south and the main island Nuribenua in the north.[2] With Kabuna in the south, the place is connected by the Kabuna Causeway dam and a dam connects the islandsto the north.

The village has a traditional meeting house: Tauma Maneaba.
