Tashkent City Women Professional Cycling Team is an Uzbekistan women's road bicycle racing team, established in 2022, which participates in elite women's races.[1] [2]

History

In 2023 the team's season consisted of mostly races in Asia. The performance of the team in these races gave them a spot as one of the top two UCI Women's Continental Team's of the year. This allows the team wildcard entry into all 2024 UCI Women's World Tour events.[3] The aim of the 2023 season for the team was to gain points for Uzbekistan to qualify for the 2024 Summer Olympics which they did. Due to the team's tight budget they will likely not race all the WorldTour events.[4]

2024

The team plans a limited roster of WorldTour events, including the Tour de France Femmes and the Giro d'Italia Women.[5] The team opened its 2024 season at the Women's Tour Down Under.[6]

The team were criticised at the 2024 Tour de France Femmes, with four riders abandoning the race on stage 1, after they were unable to keep with the pace of the peloton on the flat stage.[7]
