The University of Tartus (ar|جامعة طرطوس) is a public university located in the costal city of Tartus, Syria. It was established by Syrian Presidential Decree No. 2 of 2015, having previously been part of the Tishreen University.[1] [2] [3]

Vision

The University of Tartus says that it aims to develop an effective and productive academic environment by introducing new specialized graduate programs, continuing to update existing programs across various disciplines according to the requirements of sustainable development plans, and meeting the cognitive and skill needs of students to enable them to compete in the job market. The university says it is committed to providing the components necessary for learning, creativity, and innovation through advanced curricula and systematic study plans, as well as securing scholarships and scientific missions for its students and research opportunities for its educational staff to achieve the university's scientific and developmental goals.[4]

The University says it strives for excellence and leadership in the fields of education, learning, scientific research, and community service, both locally and internationally.
