Tarnawa Górna is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Zembrzyce, within Sucha County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 6km (04miles) west of Zembrzyce, 80NaN0 north-west of Sucha Beskidzka, and 440NaN0 south-west of the regional capital Kraków.

The village was established by Vlachs in the 17th century and was initially known as Rzedz or Rec.[2]
