Tapureli (former Tahtalı) is a neighbourhood in the municipality and district of Erdemli, Mersin Province, Turkey.[1] Its population is 1,076 (2022).[2] It is located northwest of Erdemli and about west of Mersin. The village was founded in the early 1800s by a Turkmen chieftain named Gökali. The name of the village refers to the rocky landscape that surrounds it.[3] There are ruins of an ancient settlement called Tapureli ruins just southwest of the village.
