Tangata tautuku is a species of Orsolobidae. The species is endemic to New Zealand.[1]
This species was described in 1985 by Ray Forster and Norman Platnick from male and female specimens collected in the Catlins. The holotype is stored in Otago Museum.
The male is recorded at 2.52mm in length whereas the female is 2.60mm. The abdomen is patterned dorsally.
This species is only known from Tautuku in Otago, New Zealand.
Under the New Zealand Threat Classification System, this species is listed as "Data Deficient" with the qualifiers of "Data Poor: Size", "Data Poor: Trend" and "One Location".[2]
